From the Executive Director

We are excited to welcome you to the 72nd season of the San Angelo Symphony – a year that promises to bring our community back into the Murphey Performance Hall after one of the most challenging seasons for all of us! Maestro Guzmán has prepared a repertoire that includes bold performances featuring the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra alongside an eclectic array of guest artists combining the very best in classical music, Broadway, popular and jazz.

Thanks to you, our loyal patrons, the San Angelo Symphony has created a longtime legacy of music and music education. The continued impact of the pandemic has not been lost on our organization and now more than ever we need your support. Patronage of your local symphony helps to open doors of live music and music education beyond the concert hall, which is more critical now than ever. The San Angelo Symphony offers the only orchestral music within a 100-mile radius of our town and each year we employ over 90 talented musicians made up of local talent as well as those who travel across the state of Texas to come to San Angelo and perform just for you.

We deeply appreciate your commitment to the performing arts and invite you to share in the simple joy of music this season. From a celebration of women in the arts to a night revisiting our West Texas roots, the San Angelo Symphony offers a great evening out for every type of listener. The show must go on and The Renaissance Season will leave you feeling renewed and energized!
