In this spectacular multimedia event, the San Angelo Symphony performs Holst’s The Planets as images provided by Dr. Kenneth Carrell, Director of the ASU University Planetarium, are brought to life in vivid form on a giant screen above the orchestra. Not to be outdone, one of the leading Spanish concert pianists in the international scene, Daniel del Pino, takes the stage alongside the orchestra performing Grieg’s Concerto in A minor for Piano and Orchestra, culminating in an evening of music not to be missed!

Celebrate over 60 years of this iconic film, as the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra plays Leonard Bernstein’s electrifying score live while the re-mastered film is shown in high-def on the big screen with the original vocals and dialog intact. Winner of ten Academy Awards®, the film, directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins, features Robbins’ choreography, screenplay by Ernest Lehman, book by Arthur Laurents and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
