Youth Concerts

Each Spring semester, the Symphony offers two Youth Concerts appropriate for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Weaving together classical and popular music with a child-friendly format, the concert also ties in core academic subjects using TEKS-approved curriculum created by local teachers. The 2017-2018 Youth Concerts will be March 2, 2018, at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm.

In 2017, more than 2,200 students and 190 adults attended the Youth Concerts. In all, 32 schools from 10 school districts as far away as Barksdale, Texas, were represented.

The Youth Concerts, like all of our Education & Outreach programs, are grant-funded and available to schools at no cost. Past funding for this program has been provided by:
